Born to a Guatemalan mother and Black father who divorced when she was young, Benaisha and her sister were raised by their mom in South Central Los Angeles. Watching her mother work hard day and night inspired Benaisha to be successful. She would become a model and save enough money to buy her first home when she was 18.
Benaisha’s extraordinary journey gives her intimate insight into the profound wealth gap between Black and white people in America. And through her work providing opportunities and mentorship for high school students to become real estate investors, she is uniquely positioned to enlighten and educate our audience on how they can begin their journey to financial literacy and bring our community one step closer to closing the gap.
Inspired by Sean “Diddy” Combs’ successful “State Of Emergency: The State of Black America & Coronavirus” town hall, “REVOLT BLACK NEWS” is a platform that is designed to report news from the perspective of Black people for Black people.
“When I started REVOLT, I always wanted to develop a platform to report the news from our perspective, from our lens, from our people, so I decided to launch ’REVOLT BLACK NEWS,’” said Combs. “We’re here with solutions. We’ve already heard about what we can’t do, but this is what we can do.”
